David DeBry is the Manager of Organizational Development at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Salt Lake City, Utah. He acts as an internal consultant to groups on strategy, organization design, change management, culture, and employee experience. In his 20+ year career, he worked at Eastman Chemical Company in Tennessee as a Talent Development Associate and then as an internal strategy consultant. He has also consulted on the side with a number of small businesses and humanitarian non-profits, and recently self-published a book on Amazon (Hey, Manager, Do You Have a Minute?) of his experiences consulting with managers and employees. David studied Anthropology with an emphasis in Mesoamerican and Middle-Eastern Archaeology at Brigham Young University, then decided he couldn’t support his family of 9 children doing this, so he went to Utah State University where he completed his Master’s and Ph.D. in Instructional Design. His dissertation topic focused on culture and designing training for other cultures. In his spare time, he and his family love to be in the outdoors, go to Mexico for humanitarian trips, and run.More about David can be found on his LinkedIn profile: www.linkedin.com/in/david-debry
