As the only architect elected to the US Congress and to serve as a United States Ambassador (to Denmark) in the 20th Century, Richard Swett has interesting insights into the problems that beset our nation and world. He will talk about his book by the same title and how leadership needs to change if we are to save this world from the many plagues that infect it. Good design goes far beyond the aesthetic senses into the realm of sustainability in its most complex and grand sense. We not only need to know how to identify what ails us, we need to design the solutions together. But first, we must create something that does not exist, an architecture of trust.
