In 2006, Janae married her husband and relocated to Colorado Springs. She began hiring for small business owners across the country and worked exclusively by referral until 2017 until she founded DIY Hiring. DIY Hiring’s mission is to empower small business owners and entrepreneurs through the hiring process. Janae has created a simple clear-cut hiring process to help small business owners hire and keep the very best people. Throughout her career, she has conducted over 3,000 interviews and has become a passionate student of behavioral science and behavioral economics as it relates to hiring and the workplace. Janae’s passion is helping companies nurture a strong culture by protecting small business owners from potentially toxic employees. DIY Hiring’s philosophy is to hire the right person the first time. This philosophy has saved her clients tens of thousands of dollars, many wasted hours, and countless headaches from making wrong hires.

Janae and her husband, Jason Daniels, are the parents of six children and one unruly goldendoodle. She has an Associate of Arts degree from Brigham Young University-Hawaii and was awarded Outstanding Graduate of the Fine Arts Department. Janae has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Brigham Young University and a teaching certification from Le Tourneau University. She is also an alumnus of the improv comedy troupe, Stick Horses in Pants. Janae enjoys public speaking and delivers a fun, educational, and memorable message for each audience.
