Event Details
Lita Little Giddins is a “seeker.” She has a AA in Fine Arts, an undergraduate degree in Socio-cultural Anthropology, and received a MSW with an emphasis in Expressive Arts Therapy. Lita is a licensed therapist. From Southern California, Lita has work experience ranging from working professionally in the performing arts industry (stage, recording, and film) and has used her social work degree as a teacher and therapist. As an African American, first generation to attend college from her family, Lita has developed a passion for learning about the multifaceted subcultures throughout organizations and society. Lita has conducted workshops throughout Europe, Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic. New York, , and other areas in the United States.
She seeks to inspire others toward growth, wellness, and peace within themselves, their personal relationships, and their community. Lita has been recently blessed with that opportunity at BYU to serve as the Coordinator of Diversity, Collaboration and Inclusion in the Department of Family Life..
Kevin Jones Giddins is a successful byproduct of the foster care system of New York City. He was reared in New Jersey in the Jones family with eleven foster siblings who he calls his brothers and sisters. Through a DNA test, Kevin recently found his Biological Mother, from Brooklyn, a Brother, and 2 Sisters which adds “icing” to an already blessed life.
Kevin graduated from Ohio University and received his graduate degree from Brigham Young University. He has been invited to present, domestically and abroad, on topics in the Fine Arts, Education, and Business. For the past 25 years, kevin has been a Leadership Consultant for FranklinCovey, Shipley, Vital Smarts, Spencer Johnson, his own business- Sunlight Works, MBA Professional Faculty and tenure track professor, served in the Marriott School of Management and co-founded the BYU MBA Academy. Today, Kevin can be found developing, training, and coaching leaders for Mountain America Credit Union. or guest lecturing at UVU and BYU.
Kevin is specially happy to be back in TX where he developed leaders for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Organization, L3 Corporation, Army Base in Kaleen and The Great Tx San Antonio Mission, where he was a full-time Missionary in the 80’s.
