Dr. John W. Mitchell IPC President and CEO As IPC’s president and CEO, Dr. John W. Mitchell leads the organization’s global operations and staff. Working with the IPC board of directors, he is responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of the Board’s strategic vision and aspirational goals. He joined IPC as president and CEO in April 2012 and has been instrumental in launching solutions to help the global electronics industry achieve financial success and competitive excellence. Dr. Mitchell has lived in New England, Atlanta, Los Angeles, the Midwest, and Japan working for General Electric, Bose, Alpine Electronics, Golden Key, and others. His experience and background include executive management, strategy formation and implementation, information technology, software development, non-profit business leadership, and electrical engineering. He has or does sit on several boards (educational & nonprofit) as a director. Dr. Mitchell’s academic credentials include a doctorate in higher education management from University of Georgia’s Institute of Higher Education, a Master of Business Administration from Pepperdine University, and a Bachelor of Science in electrical and computer engineering from Brigham Young University. John is married to another BYU alum his wife Margaret (Wilkinson). They have five children – four boys and one girl. Hobbies include triathlons, reading, and movie watching.
