About Michael C. Webb:

Michael C. Webb has been a recruiting executive for over 25 years. In the 1990s he successfully launched a new staffing firm that grew to 50 million in annual revenue. Over eight years he opened 18 offices throughout the United States that employed more than 1,500 people. Over the years he worked his way from up from recruiter to manager, area manager, director, vice president and even president of a regional firm.

Michael has personally hired several thousand people and has interviewed tens of thousands. From this vantage point in the hiring process he has gleaned unique insight regarding who gets hired and why - and his findings may surprise you. He gave a recent TED Talk on this same subject.

With his unique view of the employment market, Michael began working with job seekers during the dot com implosion of 1999, and again during the great recession of 2008. He’s given hundreds of seminars and webinars over the years and even wrote a couple of books teaching job seekers how to land the job of their dreams. His books, Six Weeks to Multiple Job offers and The Job Journal have helped tens of thousands focus on the most important activities that lead to interviews and job offers. Michael has also been a good friend of BYU Management Society over the years and has even twice given the keynote address at the BYUMS International Leadership Conference.

Currently, Michael is the Director of Recruiting for a top 30 accounting firm, Novogradac. He and his team are responsible for hiring hundreds of accountants and interns annually. He is married to his Kindergarten sweetheart, Lori. Michael and Lori live in their hometown of Danville, where they are raised their four children. In his free time, he enjoys fly fishing, photography and working in his garden.
