What are the moral and ethical dilemmas for the men and women in law enforcement? And how have those dilemmas evolved during the last year as protests have occurred throughout the country? Join us for a free and engaging virtual event with Dr. Michael Goold. Dr. Goold will speak with us about the issues men and women in law enforcement are dealing with during a time when public safety agencies are facing contentious issues.

Dr. Goold is the principal of SiTNA Solutions, a leadership development firm specializing in public safety teams. Dr. Goold is also an adjunct faculty member for Brandman University’s Ed.D. leadership program.

Chief Goold recently retired as the Chief of Police for the City of Rancho Cordova. His previous assignments included the Asst. Commander of Investigations (Homicide, Robbery, Child Abuse, Elder Abuse, Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Human Trafficking, etc.), CSI Bureau Commander, Communications Commander (9-1-1), Patrol Sergeant, Internal Affairs, and some other really cool assignments.

Dr. Goold has a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from CSU Sacramento, a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development from the University of San Francisco, and a Doctorate of Education from the University of La Verne. His doctoral dissertation examined traumatic stress in 9-1-1 personnel.

Chief Goold has been married for over 27 years and has four children, four kids in law, and a grandson. When not volunteering, he enjoys trying to stay fit and has run 10 marathons and several triathlons.

Michael and his family relocated to the St. George area after his public safety career and enjoys exploring Southern Utah.
