September 16, 2021 Luncheon with Nathan McNamee, PhD, Director of the MBA Program and an Assistant Professor of Finance at Southern Utah University. 11:30am to 1:00pm at the St. George Courtyard Marriott. 

Dr. Nathan McNamee is the Director of the MBA Program and an Assistant Professor of Finance at Southern Utah University. He received his PhD in Finance from the University of Surrey, a top ranked university near London, England. He also received his MBA from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland and his bachelor’s degree in Business from Brigham Young University.

Nate loves teaching Finance students and has taught various Corporate Finance and Investment courses at the University of Surrey, Dixie State University, and Southern Utah University. In addition to teaching courses, Nate leads several student groups, including a national case study competition team that won 1st place last year against over 60 other universities in New York City.

Prior to his career in academia, Nate had a career in investments, working at firms such as Merrill Lynch in Southern California and Soltis Investment Advisors in St. George. He also has Corporate Finance experience, working as the Financial Controller of Wilkinson Electric.

Nate has served as a President of the St. George Chapter of the BYU Management Society and served as a President of a BYU Alumni Association chapter in Southern California.

Nate is married to his wife of 22 years, Tasha, and they have three children.
