Shauna Smith has been in the restaurant industry for 14 years and currently acts as CEO of the company. Savory invests in new and emerging brands contending in the highly competitive food & beverage industry. The Savory team consists of food and beverage experts who exist to create value in each portfolio company through value drivers such as revenue growth, efficiency & site replication.
Shauna started as an operator and still thinks like an operator. She has worn every hat and hairnet under the restaurant roof and still loves the days spent inside the restaurants working with the team and serving customers. Shauna has assisted in developing, acquiring and operating 200+ restaurants across 12 states in brands such as MoBettah’s, Swig, R&R BBQ, The Crack Shack, Via 313, Kneaders Bakery & Café and Little Caesars. She has realized exits in Kneaders and Little Caesars. With these brands and her incredible team, Shauna has created over 20,000 jobs over the years and is headed toward a banner year opening over 40 new locations in the 5 current portfolio companies. Shauna was recently recognized as a CXO of the year by Utah Business Magazine (2020).
Shauna currently resides in Highland, Utah with her husband, Andrew, and two sons, Christian (21) and Tobin (16). Her favorite jobs yet are wife and mother.
