Bedlessness in Massachusetts
"I've never had something that didn't belong before to someone else." That is what a boy said to me as I set up a new bed for him in a small apartment that he shared with his three siblings and another family of five. About 35,000 children in Massachusetts don't have a bed to sleep on at night.
About this event
Children in Massachusetts without beds share with their parents, sleep on a couch, on an air mattress, or even on a pile of blankets on the floor. The Sleep in Heavenly Peace Middlesex County Chapter is working to change this with a skeletal crew of volunteers.
