Our Central Ohio BYUMS chapter co-hosted Senior Night with the Institute Council and it was a smashing success! High School Seniors were invited to come and see the Institute building and were personally welcomed by a few select outstanding YSA members including: Allie West, Athena Howell, and Justin Caldwell. Students then learned about the Institute program through a great presentation put on by the Institute Director, Spencer Knowles.

Students were introduced to the BYUMS program by our chapter president Jim Blair who explained that we are all here to help them succeed and they can tap into the great professional network that our incredible chapter has to offer. Then Jim introduced other chapter members to highlight what our program specifically has to help these seniors transition into adulthood such as:

Andy Nicoll - college scholarships

Scott Alpeter - career mentoring

David Campbell - life coaching

Students also enjoyed hearing a mentoring success story by chapter member Seanquez Frye. We finished the evening with dessert and mingling, and tours of the Institute building. A great night was had by all and the excitement of an upcoming graduation for these seniors was palpable.

We are planning to make this an annual event as part of the new branch our chapter is growing to help promote moral and ethical leadership through supporting the rising generation.
