About this event

2024 Moral and Ethical Leadership Conference

Better Together – Promoting Ethics in your Sphere of Influence

To further our mission to “promote moral and ethical leadership,” the Salt Lake Chapter of the BYU Management Society (BYUMS) held its inaugural Moral and Ethical Leadership Conference (MEL) in Salt Lake City, UT nine years ago. Drawing from business, government, and education leaders year after year, its purpose is to provide the inspiration, education, and connections that our attendees need to explore the role of morals and ethics in a globalized world.

We will hear from speakers on ethics and on our theme,
"Better Together – Promoting Ethics in your Sphere of Influence".

Come hear from our esteemed guest speakers, including...

  • Britton Johnsen - former NBA Player & VP of Corporate Development Onset Financial
  • Ryan Starks - ED of Governor’s Economic Office
  • Susan Madsen – Author, Speaker, Coach, Consultant - Advancing Women as Leaders
  • Taylor Randall - President of U of U
  • Brigitte Madrian - Dean of BYU Marriott School of Business
  • Nicole Stirling - VP & Chief Relations Officer of The Stirling Foundation

By attending, we hope to support our local chapter's effort to "Grow Moral and Ethical Leadership Around the World." The BYU Management Society has 60+ chapters around the world and by participating in the Salt Lake chapter, you are a part of a greater network. You have the opportunity to:

  • Leverage your ability to influence reversing the decline of moral standards
  • Expand your sphere of influence and advance your leadership opportunities
  • Provide you with a means of developing and deepening relationships with others who share your values

Therefore, we seek to envision, create, and sustain an organizational structure that meets that need. We likewise seek to affiliate with individuals and institutions that can accelerate our ability to fulfill our vision. Additionally, our chapter provides student scholarships. Donations help us fund our scholarship efforts, pay it forward here. Thank you for your generosity and support of our student scholarships.

Continuing Education Credits

This conference will provide 6 CPE credits. There will be a volunteer available with evaluations and attendance registration; you may also check at the registration table with additional questions.
