Peter Bybee is the founder and CEO of Security On-Demand, the leading provider of 24x7 Cyber Threat Detection and Threat Analytics services for mid-market, enterprise, and state/local governments.

Peter and his wife Gayle founded the company in 2001 and built the company into one of the fastest growing managed security providers in the nation, winning national recognition and multiple awards for growth, technology leadership, and market-leading cyber security services. In January of 2022, and after 20 years of growth and investment, Peter and Gayle sold a majority stake in the company to Private Equity firm, Nautic Partners to accelerate growth, develop new markets, and further expand the business. In December of 2022, Security On-Demand acquired Booz Allen Hamilton’s Managed Threat Services business and merged it into a newly branded company called DeepSeas Security. Peter has now handed off the CEO role and has taken on a new position serving as Chief Strategy Officer, leading product and company strategy for the new organization.

In 2019, Peter founded AQ Technologies, a data science, big data analytics research and development based in Warsaw, Poland that focuses on utilizing machine learning, and advanced mathematics to analyze cyber security data to find unknown cyber threats. Peter successfully raised over $3.3M of grant funding from the European Union to grow and develop the company into a leading data analytics company for cyber security applications, and continues to leads the company today.

Prior to Security On-Demand, Peter founded and built a successful network systems integration business called Network Vigilance, which provided security consulting and IT services for small and medium-size businesses. Peter has a BA from San Diego State University, in Industrial Psychology and is a Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP) and a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA). He is a past president and board member of Information Systems Security Association (ISSA), San Diego Chapter. He currently serves as a member of National University's Cyber Security Program Advisory Council.
