Please join us for our next BYU Management Society/BYU J. Reuben Clark Law Society luncheon on Thursday, January 23rd at noon at the Marriott Courtyard. Our speaker will be Tim Anderson, he will present an historical event - the genesis of the 2015 book The Flyboys of Fall: Lining Up Against Giants, written by his son Arthur Anderson and Dr. Gerald J. Day. This is the story surrounding the Dixie High School 2014 State Championship football team that is still one of the truly remarkable stories in the recent time and history of Utah’s Dixie. Tim’s son Arthur, in addition to being on the team, was also the editor of the school newspaper. Dr. Gerald J. Day is a retired educator, having served as the Dean of the School of Management at Georgia Tach University and as President of Snow College. He also served as President of a major Utah- based international sales company. Together, Arthur and Jerry wrote the story that etches – well into the memory of the greater Dixie community in a very warm, memorable, and incredible way. Perhaps the only team in the history of seriously competitive football to score 35 unanswered points in six and minutes and twenty seconds to come from behind to win the game. And that is only a small part of the story.
