About Jim Evans:

Jim Currently Serves as the Executive Director of America’s Freedom Festival at Provo & America’s Freedom Festival Foundation. He retired in May of 2019 from Xactware, an Orem-grown technology company after 20+ years in various positions including chief operating officer and senior vice president. During Jim’s time with Xactware, they grew from 65 to over 600 employees. 

Jim holds a BA degree in Organizational Communications with an emphasis in Training and Development from Brigham Young University.

Jim and his wife, Tana (who taught kindergarten in Alpine School District for 27 years and then substituted for another 9 years including Orem Schools SCERA Park, Cascade and Orem Elementary), have resided in Orem since 1984. 

They have 3 children (and their spouses) and 12 grandchildren plus 1 great granddaughter.

Jim is fluent in Spanish, enjoys BYU and UVU sports, the Utah Jazz and has been known to do an occasional DJ gig for local youth dances, weddings and parties.

He and Tana have also enjoyed many opportunities to serve in their church.
