Getting to the Conference Center & Parking:

  • For those wishing to use this new bus system there is a bus stop north of the Harman Continuing Education Building at approximately 730 East University Parkway.

  • For those who will be driving, patron parking is located west of the building in lot 20. Please adhere to parking sign instructions. The entry points to lot 20 are located at 700 East University Parkway, 730 East University Parkway, or near the Marriott Center at 450 East Campus Drive.

  • The parking area for guests is located in the first 3 rows of parking spaces with additional guest parking available further west in rows 1-6. Those with a Y-lot permit should park in rows 7-13 of the lot. Please note that the majority of parking spaces in Lot 23 southeast of the Conference Center are designated for BYU employees and are not available for student, patron or guest parking from 7 am-4 pm.

About Blaine Maxfield

Blaine Maxfield serves as the Managing Director of Welfare and Self-Reliance Services for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. In that capacity, he coordinates the Church’s humanitarian efforts throughout the world. Prior to his current assignment, Blaine served as the Church’s chief information officer.

Before joining the Church’s workforce, Blaine served as the chief operating officer for the wealth management division of SunGard, a Fortune 500 company, where he oversaw thousands of employees and more than a half billion dollars in revenue. In 2010, Blaine was listed in the Power 100, a list of the top 100 emerging executives making a difference in the finance industry.

Previously, as president of Frontier Analytics, Blaine worked with Nobel laureate Harry Markowitz, a founder of modern portfolio theory, to convert key economic theories into software solutions that are still used by market analysts.

Having served on many boards, Blaine has years of executive-level experience at large businesses. He has also delivered countless motivational speeches to youth groups throughout the country. He attended Ricks College (now BYU-Idaho), where he earned football All-American honors. Blaine continued his education at Stanford University while playing on the football team. He graduated from Stanford with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and a master’s degree in organizational studies.

Blaine is currently serving as an Area Seventy. He has served as a stake president, a bishop, a high priests group leader, a member of the stake high council, a Young Men president, and in many other Church callings. He served as a full-time missionary in the Guatemala Quetzaltenango Mission.

Blaine and his wife, Jennifer, have three children and three grandchildren.
