David Stirling is a founding executive, CEO and chairman of doTERRA. Under his visionary leadership, doTERRA has grown from a fledgling startup in 2008 to the world’s largest essential oil company with more than $2.0 billion in annual sales. Today doTERRA has nearly 4,000 corporate employees, with offices, manufacturing and production facilities, in more than 40 different countries. After graduating with a BS in Business and Information Sciences from BYU’s Marriott School of Management, David began his career as an engineer where he worked for large leading technology companies. He looks back upon this time with appreciation for disciplined thinking and the problem solving skills so important to his roles today.

David and his wife Laurea have nine children, and a growing number of grandchildren. Besides his bachelor’s degree from BYU, David also has an MBA in business, and has been honored as the first-ever recipient of the Distinguished Entrepreneur Award from the David Eccles School of Business.
