The Utah Valley Chapter generally has 6 main events during the year.
The CEO luncheons are typically networking lunch events somewhere in Utah County where we hear from a business leader.
These events have varied greatly over the years. We've done picnics, gone bowling in the Wilkinson Center and more. For the last several years, we've rented out a movie theater and shown a brand new movie with discounted prices on snacks.
This is one of our most popular events each year. Sign up early or you will miss out! The event will sometimes be a lunch event and other times a dinner event. But almost always, these events include going to the balcony above the Football Practice fields outside of the Student Athlete Building and watching a closed to the public football practice. We then head inside and hear from coaches, players and/or members of the athletic department. Past speakers have included Bronco Mendenhall, Kalani Sitake, Tom Holmoe, Chad Lewis, Taysom Hill and many more players and coaches. While they are speaking to us, we usually will eat a boxed lunch or dinner in the Team Room.
This is our premier event every year. It is held at the Utah Valley Convention Center. We honor important people to Utah Valley who help promote moral and ethical leadership. This gala dinner helps raise money for scholarships for both BYU and UVU students.
Past recipients of this award include Tim Ballard, Jeff Rust, Bill & Donna Marriott, Dale Murphy, Sheri Dew, Clayton Christensen, Alan & Karen Ashton, Pres Dieter F Uchtdorf, Dr Stephen R Covey, LaVell Edwards and Glenn Beck.
We are excited to announce our recipient this year will be Jane Clayson Johnson. The event will be held on Thursday, October 6. Save the date now!
If you would like to reserve an entire table or become a sponsor of this event, please email Lisa Jensen at TallCoolLisa@zdomain.com
This is a fun, well attended event that typically is held inside the BYU Alumni Building. We are served a nice lunch and typically hear from a key church leader.
We also host monthly events for young professionals and those interested in networking. These events typically take place at a local tech company where we network, learn about the host company, and expand our knowledge on various topics.
