This month we will hear from President Eccles of the Colorado Springs Mission! We will meet on Thursday, September 16th at 11:45 at Finch & Gable Real Estate; 9362 Grand Cordera Pkwy, Suite 100, Colorado Springs, CO 80924. This is the office of Jason and Janae Daniels. Here is some information on our great speaker:

Managing Partner and Co-Founder of The Cynosure Group, a Salt Lake City based investment firm, which evaluates, sources and manages direct private equity investments in profitable, small to mid-sized companies and provides comprehensive wealth advisory services across traditional and alternative asset classes for the Eccles family. Mr. Eccles is the great grandson of David Eccles, who became one of the most successful entrepreneurs, industrialists and investors in the history of Utah and the Western United States. As 4th and 5th generation Eccles family members in the U.S., Spencer, his father and three sisters, directly manage multiple family foundations and run their multi-generational family office. Spencer is an Advisory Board Member of the George S. and Dolores Doré Eccles Foundation and the Spencer F. and Cleone P. Eccles Family Foundation.

From 2009-2014, Spencer served as the Executive Director of the Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development, facilitating the expansion or relocation of strategic companies into Utah’s urban and rural counties. These companies were projected to create more than 32,500 jobs and $2.1 billion in new state revenue over the next decade.

Spencer sits on numerous public and private boards and has provided leadership to web-based software and materials technology companies in the US and abroad. He also oversaw all of the Alpine speed events for the 2002 Olympic Winter Games and was formerly affiliated with Wells Capital Management. Mr. Eccles received an MBA from BYU’s Marriott School of Management and a BA in History from the University of Utah.

For generations, the Eccles have been strong supporters of Utah's outstanding quality of life including sports, music and most of the cultural arts. Spencer has been involved with international alpine ski racing since his youth, and has a love for hunting, fishing, mountain-biking and rock climbing. Consequently, Spencer, Kristine and their 3 children enjoy Utah's great outdoor venues as often as their busy school and work schedules will allow.

Currently, Spencer, his wife and two of their children are serving for three years as a mission president and leaders for approximately 230 young men and women representing the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
