Sydney Jorgensen Walker is a Church News reporter for the Deseret News in Salt Lake City, Utah, where she writes about news and growth of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and the ministry of its leaders. Her previous positions include writing for the Faith section of the Deseret News and working as a staff assistant in the Priesthood and Family Department at Church headquarters. She earned a bachelor’s degree in news media in 2017 from Brigham Young University, where she was editor-in-chief of The Daily Universe. Sydney claims Birmingham, Alabama, as her hometown and currently resides in Sandy, Utah, with her husband, Jacob.
